Michael Reo, President
Michael L. Reo is a 30-year veteran of the medical device industry. Currently, Michael is the Principal Consultant and President of M. L. Reo Consulting, providing engineering and management consulting services for start-ups to established medical device manufacturers. Michael has served as a Chief Technical Officer and Vice President of Operations and R&D for his clients. Prior to starting a full-time consulting business, Michael was an engineer and leader in medical device companies such as Peripheral Systems Group, Ventritex, Kyphon, Ventrica, Spinal Kinetics, and HourGlass Technologies, and Sinopsys Surgical. He is also a named inventor on 69 issued US Patents and over 100 US patent applications. In addition, Michael serves as an Industry Advisor for Biomedical Engineering Department and Biomedical Engineering Society Chapter at San José State University where he also earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. Michael is a 6-year Active Duty U.S. Navy Veteran.
Andrew Shubel, Chief of Operations
Andrew Shubel has over 22 years of medical device and device software experience. His unique expertise comes from holding medical device Operations, Quality, and Regulatory director and vice-president roles while living and working in five different countries in North America and Europe. This includes 10 years at Stryker Corporation. He has had global responsibility for Quality Systems and is RAC certified. In addition, Andrew has been a Director at a device start-up, which exited successfully. He is a certified lead auditor since 2006 and has seven years of consulting experience specific to Medical Device QMS implementation and auditing. Andrew has led pre-market and post-market clinical trials in multiple countries. He has a BA from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and an MBA from Norwich University. He also served 10-years Active Duty in the U.S. Army.
